La Vela Coffee is a woman and family-owned business committed to serving sustainably sourced, high-quality coffee beans.
Our History
La Vela started with a vision to provide artisan coffee beans to gourmet restaurants in Caracas, Venezuela in the 1950s. What began as a humble idea has blossomed into a full-blown coffee family, with a passion for coffee roasting and culture passed down through generations.
In the late 2000s, political and social turmoil forced the La Vela family to seek a better life elsewhere. Eventually relocating to the U.S., we rebuilt our specialty coffee roasting facilities in Miami, Florida. La Vela carries its family legacy hundreds of miles from where it began 80 years later.
